Method of payment
Goods can be paid for by credit card, cheque or cash.
After payment has been received a receipt will be issued detailing your order.
The goods remain the property of Longman Gates until we have received payment in full and delivery or collection has been made.
In certain circumstances where a fitter has been recommended who is undertaking the fitting of your job and there is a balance of payment, we will issue a receipt for him to collect payment.
Cancellation of goods ordered may incur charges depending on how far the job has been processed.
By submitting your order you are offering to buy the goods and allowing us to use your personal details for the purposes of supplying goods (including passing your details onto couriers and other subcontractors).
Deliveries
Deliveries throughout the UK at competitive prices.
On delivery, we ask you to check the goods for damage before you sign for them. You must indicate on driver’s paper work if you see any damage and phone our office within 48 hours.
Guarantee
Timber is a natural product, so we cannot guarantee it’s stability within any of our products. During hot weather splits and shrinkage may occur, alternatively wet and cold weather may cause expansion. These factors combined may also result in twisting and other movements. These problems can be reduced by using a good quality preservative or paint i.e. Sadolin Cuprinol or Sikens, as per the manufactures instructions. Front, back, edges and end grain will all need to be thoroughly finished for all or our exterior doors and gates, before or straight after installation.
All our doors and gates come with a years manufactures warranty which applies to the workmanship, although this does not apply to gates over 4.0m wide (2.0m each leaf) as we don’t give any warranty or guarantee to gates of this size, except for field, farm & country gates.
Every effort is made to insure that the goods that we are supplying to you are fit for the end purpose and providing that we are notified of any problems within the first 48 hours, we will best endeavor to resolve them. This does not include paying for any additional work i.e. fitting, painting or any other cost, not relating to our products.
